No clue. Neither one of my kids slept on their own through the night before they were totally weaned.
No idea. My kids both started sleeping through the night at about 8-9wo but they were both breastfed on demand. I think I just had loads of milk and managed to fill them up so they could sleep longer.
Ha! My kids eat on demand, too, and then some!, but it still hasn't 'filled them up' for longer sleeps, anyway.

But your experience kind of (anecdotally) proves what I've been thinking: some babies will just sleep through the night whenever, no matter what you do!
I don't think there's any way to train them. Some kids just want to sleep more than others. As I remember, my son started sleeping through the night when he was a couple of months old and now as a grown man, he still loves to sleep.
I think that's true. My son is a champion sleeper even at 5yo. We used to have trouble getting my daughter to sleep initially but she would then sleep through and even sleep in and she is still like that at 9yo.
The breakthrough for me was when I realized that I was waking her up to feed her right in the middle of her REM cycle (the most important stage of sleep). The little grunts and rolling that I was seeing and hearing I interpreted as her waking up when really it was her dreaming. Also the more sleep they get the more they will sleep. I found the earlier I put her down to sleep the longer she would sleep.

Good luck!
Yeah, those grunts can be cute! I usually wait until they really start to rail before picking them up. And I totally work on the 'sleep begets sleep' thing - sadly, Peaches is not a great day sleeper, no matter how long she's in her cradle.
